WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
From the beginning, food has been a transcendental act, the kitchen is a reflection of who we are. WHAT IS OUR HISTORY?
Once upon a time there was a chef with an audacious dream: to publish the book “Al Piel del Fogón”, which explored the experiential stories behind Tacna's cuisine and its importance in the country's history. This research journey gave birth to a clandestine gastronomic concept, where stories were mixed with recipes to create a unique experience.
In this clandestine dogma, the identity that would illuminate the return of Tacna to the homeland was forged. During the pilgrimage, it was discovered that the concept transcended the recipes and took refuge in the personal stories of each collaborator. The clandestine became a “clan”, as a union of the experiences that led each person to be part of this unique project.
Each collaborator, with their own stories, contributed to the essence of the “clan”, woven by the campfire that united them. Thus, what began as a clandestine journey became a beautiful story of union and collaboration. The name of the restaurant, previously marked by clandestinity, became “Clan”, representing the union of these intertwined stories, where Tacna cuisine and the identity of each collaborator merged to create something truly special. Thus, “Clan” became a home where personal stories and passion for gastronomy intertwined to offer an authentic and unique experience.
